summit in the rarefied world of medieval and renaissance scholarship is taking place on campus on Nov. 2-4. Thirty-five representatives of the world's greatest manuscript collections are gathering to begin establishing standards for the online cataloging and electronic dissemination of centuries-old documents from Europe.
The meeting, to be held in Butler Library, is bringing together the members of the advisory boards of three cooperative international online manuscript projects. The projects are the Digital Scriptorium, Electronic Access to Medieval Manuscripts (EAMMs), and SagaNet, all of which are funded in whole or in part by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
